Participants will learn how to conduct investigations using observation skills, create field journals, examine history, and test common ghost-hunting equipment while discussing the difference between evidence, storytelling, and imagination. The Downtown Chandler Library is hosting a special introductory series for those who are interested in learning how to play Dungeons & Dragons. We'll be taking a deep dive into one of the most famous tabletop role playing games in the world! Learn the history of D&D, the basics of gameplay, and how to create your own character. This series runs every other Saturday, from July 25 through October 3. Each session runs for three hours, taking place in the Makery Program Room on the 2nd floor. This program is appropriate for teens and adults.
This four-week JavaScript Bootcamp is designed to introduce girls to the world of coding in a beginner-friendly, supportive environment. Over the course of the program, participants will learn core coding fundamentals and apply those skills creatively to draw shapes, work with colors, and build visual designs . No prior coding experience is needed-- this series is designed to spark new interests and help girls build comfort and confidence with technology in a fun way! SPACE IS LIMITED! Drumming gives us an experience where we can be free to connect with ourselves and others, in order to release, restore and heal. It is a universal language where all people can be a part, free from words and concepts so we can experience life with an open heart. Join the Chandler Drum Circle and discover the therapy of drumming! Experience not necessary! A limited number of hand percussion instruments are available for those without their own instruments. Welcomed instruments include Djembes, Bongos, Congas, Tablas, Tambourines, and other similar hand drums. This event is open to anyone ages 12 and up (under 12 must attend with a parent or guardian).

Rooted Rebels invites teens and tweens to a hands-on adventure in growing your own food in Arizona's unique climate. In partnership with the University of Arizona's Cooperative Extension Program, join Master Gardener Lorry Stringer as she shares her expertise on fall vegetable planting and explains why Arizona's fall is the perfect season to get started. You'll develop useful gardening skills, enjoy crafting your own mobile DIY seedling starter, and leave ready to enjoy a bountiful winter harvest! make sure to check out our own Seed Library! Are you interested in learning a new language? Communicating with deaf individuals? This Intro to ASL program provided by Pathways to Potential will guide you through beginner American Sign Language curriculum, exploring fingerspelling, basic conversational signs, and elements of deaf culture . You will have opportunities to meet new people, learn to communicate, and help foster awareness about this important language through fun exercises, engaging presentations, and more! This class is appropriate for ages 9 and older. The class meets every Monday evening, September 14- November 16, 2026.
Try out a new creative hobby every month with Basha Library's Creative Sampler Club ! This month we will create a unique botanical pressed bookmark. Adults and teens can explore different art techniques through fun projects designed for beginners. Each session focuses on a new craft or art form, so you can experiment, learn, and meet other makers. You don’t need any experience, and we provide all the supplies. The club is recommended for ages 12 and up . Registration is required and spots are limited. If you’re under 18, please come with a participating adult.
Presented by teens from The 8 Foundation, Act It Out! is a fun drama program for kids ages 8-11 . Using improv games, group activities, and short performances, kids will build confidence and creativity. Each session builds on the last, to help participants improve their skills over time. This program is open to youth between the ages of 8 to 11 year old, and no acting experience is needed. Participants will: practice expressing themselves through acting and movement; gain confidence speaking and working with others; and have fun in a supportive, creative environment. Calling all young paranormal investigators between the ages of 8 to 14 !! Sunset library is bringing you a fun and educational program where kids can explore the history and science behind ghosts. Participants will learn how to conduct investigations using observation skills, create field journals, examine history, and test common ghost-hunting equipment while discussing the difference between evidence, storytelling, and imagination. Attend three classes and get invited to a special ghost hunt party on October 19th! Please note that this program is structured for tweens and young teens, between the ages of 8 to 14. Let's celebrate fall with fun hands-on activities. Young explorers will learn the science of pumpkins, make a craft, and build apples. Children ages 2 to 5 participate in fun and simple educational activities that introduce them to science, technology, engineering, art, and math. This program is designed to encourage curiosity as well as develop motor skills, social skills, and confidence.
