Little hands will be pressed into ink pads and white paper to create "flowers". Grown-ups will help their child by cutting the prints and glueing them on the paper stems to create a bouquet. This is a program specifically designed for children ages 0-3. We host a Crafty Storytime program for ages 3-6 at West Waco Library on Wednesday mornings.

Tonight, we will learn the fascinating art of origami from Yuri Hatakeyama, a senior at Midway High School, who is passionate about creating origami and was honored to be one of three recipients of a national scholarship to attend the OrigamiUSA Annual Convention in New York City. Origami is a traditional Japanese art of folding flat sheets of paper into decorative shapes and figures in 3D. Yuri will spread the joy of origami by teaching at a beginner level so that everyone will leave with their own origami treasure!

Teams of 5 will have 90 minutes to see who can complete a 500 piece puzzle first. If you don't have a team, you will be assigned one at the program start. We suggest ages 9 and up for this event.
