Author Kim Chaffin Reads Her Story at Family Storytime

Thu, Nov 12, 6:30 PM at West Waco. Free.

Local author, Kim Chaffin, will read her story, Breaking the Huddle , a story about courage, confidence, and being true to yourself! Kaycee always loved to play. With her big glasses, wavy hair, and endless energy, she learns that being herself is her greatest strength. As she grows older, Kaycee takes a brave step and tries out for her school's football team. As the only girl on the field, she faces challenges, tough competition, and moments of doubt. Along the way, she discovers the power of teamwork, leadership, and believing in herself. Inspired by the author's real-life experience as a seventh-grade quarterback, Breaking the Huddle encourages young readers to embrace who they are and break the huddles of life, on the field and beyond. We'll also make a fun craft related to the story!
