Make your own photocard keychain using felt, beads, and paint while learning basic sewing stitches. Materials for the keychain holders will be provided by the library. Photocards are not provided, so bring your own if you d like to use one in your keychain. K-pop instrumental music will play quietly in the background while you craft. Did you know that more than 60% of consumers trust product reviews from social media influencers, bloggers, or reviewers, according to research from the Digital Marketing Institute? So, what makes a good review? Come learn how to write like influencers in this teen writing workshop presented by The Loft Literary Center at R.H. Stafford Library in Woodbury. You'll learn the key points of writing reviews about food, music, movies, and more! Through writing prompts and an array of multisensory hands-on activities, you will practice the skills needed to write engaging reviews and take your reviews beyond the "Like" button. This workshop is for middle and high school students, ages 11-18. Due to space limitations, adults and siblings are asked to enjoy other areas of the library during the program. Join us Tuesday mornings for storytime at Hardwood Creek Library. This inclusive, welcoming program will use stories, songs, movement and more to help toddlers and preschoolers develop early literacy skills. This storytime is for children of all ages and their caregivers. This storytime will have unique content from our Thursday storytime, and you are welcome to attend either or both. This is an in-person, indoor program. Registration is not required.
Join us in singing, talking, reading, writing, and playing at this inclusive, welcoming storytime for families at the Cottage Grove Service Center, 13000 Ravine Parkway South, Cottage Grove , starting at 10:30 a.m. Note: Due to election activities, storytime will temporarily meet in the cafeteria space adjacent to the library instead of the main corridor. This storytime focuses on concepts such as life skills, emotions, community, family, and kindness. Storytime is your opportunity to meet new friends and strengthen early literacy skills. Activities during and after storytime are designed to strengthen fine and large motor skills. Grown-ups are expected to actively participate alongside the children they bring (modeling is one of the best ways to influence behavior). Please limit discussion between grown-ups until storytime has finished. This storytime is recommended for developmental ages birth to 8 and their grown-ups. Art Cart immediately follows storytime. Children and their grown-ups are encouraged to make art together. All activities are focused on fine motor development. Registration is not required.
Talk, sing, read, write and play! Get your children ready to read by attending early literacy storytimes. We read stories, sing, use puppets and flannel boards to develop early literacy skills and instill the love of reading. Children of all ages and their caregivers are welcome.
Siama invites you to join him at Ravine Landing, 9653 Keats Avenue South, Cottage Grove on this very special musical journey to Africa! COMPAS Teaching Artist and 2026 American Composers Forum McKnight Fellow Siama Matuzungidi is a Congolese-born musician known for his intricate guitar, catchy songs, spirited singing, and traditional African instruments like Mbira (thumb piano), Lokole (tongue drum), and Balafon (marimba). Siama is joined by vocalist, storyteller, and hand percussionist Dallas Johnson. Together, they encourage everyone to sing along in Kikongo and Lingala while they both tell stories that bring Siama's hometown in rural Bas Congo to life. This program is for all ages and is funded with money from Minnesota s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Parking at Ravine Regional Park is free on the first Tuesday of every month.
Teens are invited to come hang out at Hardwood Creek Library and make a craft! Occasionally, some sessions might also include video games, other activities, or snacks. Teens are always welcome to bring homework and use the space to study. For ages 11 18 only.

Learn the craft of needle felting while making fun decor for October! Participants will turn loose felt into a compact ball then add details to make a spooky eye! All tools will be supplied by the library. Registration is required.
Children in grades K 7 can practice their reading skills by reading with a certified therapy dog and its trainer at Oakdale Library. Reading with a therapy dog helps build confidence and make reading fun. An appointment is required. Please sign up for one 20-minute session per child. Appointments open two weeks before the event. This program will take place upstairs in the Margaret Rivers Meeting Room on the upper level of the library. Same program will be repeated at 11:30 AM. This storytime is developmentally designed for preschool learners ages 3 to 5. For younger learners consider attending Baby & Toddler Storytime , which is specifically geared to children ages birth to 3 and their caregivers.
