Garden Club for Kids @ Southwest

Tue, Nov 10, 3:30 PM at Southwest Regional Library (3605 Shannon Rd). Free.

Do you love gardening, nature, and being outside? Children ages 7-12 are invited to join Southwest's Garden Club. Once a month, we'll get together in Southwest's backyard garden to talk about gardening, plant things, and work on garden tasks. Once we get into mid-summer, we'll also begin harvesting vegetables and herbs to taste and share. Seeds & seedlings will be available for participants to take home. This month, we'll plant garlic in the garden and discuss our favorite vampires throughout history! This program is geared towards children ages 7+, but caregivers are welcome to join us as well. Registration is required. This is an outdoor program, so please be sure to dress in comfortable clothing and bring water & sunscreen. In the event of rain, this program will be canceled. If you have any questions, please email Kristen at kstockdale@dconc.gov. Let's grow together!
