Making Pemmican
Wed, Nov 18, 4:00 PM at Pine Bluffs. Free.
Join us to watch a short documentary featuring former Wyoming State Archaeologist Rich Adams as he talks about the significance of pemmican and demonstrates how it was made by Native Americans in the past. We will then make our own simple pemmican, including a cereal version for children. Staff will also guide you through several educational artifacts from the Wyoming State Museum, including clothing, arrowheads, shields, bags, drums, and more. Be sure to explore our exhibit of Native Americans of the Great Plains on loan from the Texas Trail Museum.
