Join a club to write, illustrate, make, and tell your own stories. Meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. In this workshop, young people ages 12-18 can work alone, in pairs, or in small groups to write and illustrate stories. Follow a prompt, do a fun writing or drawing exercise, or free write. Create a book, a zine, a comic, a story, a kamishibai, a play, or whatever! We'll set aside the last 15 minutes for people who want to read aloud their finished stories.

Join us in a celebration of community, music, and Jewish culture as we welcome the San Francisco Yiddish Combo for an introduction to klezmer music. This event is provided by generous support from the Yiddish Book Center, to enhance this fall's Yiddish Book Group. Made up of classically trained musicians who enjoy stretching musical boundaries, the San Francisco Yiddish Combo is led by cellist Rebecca Roudman. The group is on a journey around the world to present their own unique blend of everything that is klezmer, mixed with years of experience in the jazz, blues, folk, and even hip-hop worlds. The Yiddish Book Center's Public Libraries Program brings Yiddish literature in translation to libraries nationwide, encouraging connections and sparking cross-cultural dialogue. A musical storytelling adventure for kids presented by the musicians of the Reno Chamber Orchestra The Reno Chamber Orchestra was established in 1974 by a group of local musicians working in casino showrooms.
