Lakewood is Denver's western suburb, where the foothills start: Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Dinosaur Ridge's trackway are just past the city line. Bear Creek Lake Park, Belmar Park's lake and the Lakewood Heritage Center are the family fixtures. Jefferson County Public Library serves Lakewood from several branches.
Holiday events for kids in Lakewood, 2026: tree lightings, light displays, Santa visits and gingerbread workshops, day by day.
114 children’s events are on in Lakewood in the next seven days, read every night from the calendars of Jefferson County Public Library (11 branches, 1,706 upcoming programmes), plus Apex Center Ice Arena. Library programmes are free. Museum and zoo events say “admission may apply”; check the venue for prices.
The same calendars serve Arvada, Conifer, Edgewater, Evergreen, Golden, Littleton and Wheat Ridge, so searching any of those names finds the same events.
