Ethnography is the study and description of human cultures, but what does that really look like? Librarian and Folklorist Jerry Reed has written in fields of folklore and library science and spoken at conferences on a wide range of subjects. He will guide you through learning about what writing ethnography entails, his own research and writing process, and some ethnographic books that are available at the library for you to enjoy. Join us in the Gaier Room to learn all about writing effective, engaging and educational nonfiction content from Reference Librarian, Jerry Reed. (ages 15 and up) Jerry Reed is a librarian at Clark County Public Library and a scholar in both library science and folklore. He holds Master’s degrees in Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and in Popular Culture with a focus in Folklore from Bowling Green State University.
