Santa Fe Story Exchange

The Santa Fe Story Exchange Free Story Workshops at the Santa Fe Public Library Everyone has a story worth telling — this workshop helps you find it. Join a free session where we use simple prompts, a little craft, and a lot of listening to turn a memory into a story you'd actually want to tell out loud. No writing experience needed, just a moment worth sharing. Each session works through the basics of story development — finding the true emotional center of a memory, zooming in on a single scene rather than summarizing a whole life, and shaping it into something to be shared, as writing, or to bring to an audience. You'll write, share with the group, and get warm, useful feedback. From time to time, the Santa Fe Story Exchange participants will get the chance to bring a polished story to a live public storytelling event — but the workshop itself is the heart of it: a standing invitation to slow down, write, and be heard. Free and open to the public. --------------------------------------------------------------- Joe Lambert is an author, educator, former theater professional, and the founder of the international digital storytelling movement and led StoryCenter for over thre
