Indigenous Teas and Native Seeds

Sat, Oct 24, 12:30 PM at Walker. Free.

Join us for a drop-in workshop about native plants and the many uses for seasonal seeds and leaves! Learn about and sample teas brewed by members of the North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems (NATIFS) using locally foraged plants. Also, experiment with different methods for cleaning and saving wildflower seeds with Wild Ones Twin Cities volunteers. Take home recipes and seeds to start, or enhance, your own native plant garden for future fall harvests. All are welcome. Collaborators: Wild Ones and North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems (NATIFS). Sponsor: Friends of the Hennepin County Library.
