Location: JPL Conference Room Format: Rated/K-12/K-8: 4 round Swiss, Game in 25 with 3 second delay (G/25,d3) Sections: - Rated Open: Requires a current USCF membership to play. - K-12: Open to players grades K-12 - K-8: Open to players grades K-8 - K-12 and K-8 sections may be combined for pairing purposes and are not rated All games played under US Chess tournament regulations. One 1/2 point bye available if requested before the beginning of round 2 Round Times: Rated/K-12/K-8: 10:00, 11:30, 1:30, 3:00 (or ASAP) Entry Fee: Rated Open: $20 (100% of entries go to support the JPL Children's Department and Chess Club) K-12/K-8: FREE Donations always welcome Prizes: Rated Open: $300 guaranteed (sponsored) prize fund 1st - $120, 2nd - $80, 3rd - $60, U1200/UNR - $40 K-12 and K-8: Top-2 finishers in each group given awards.
