Teens Learn and Explore: Uncover History Through Creation with Dr. Aldora "Dodie" White Eagle

Tue, Nov 10, 4:00 PM at Central Library. Free.

Join us in the Teen Library for an immersive workshop exploring the history and lasting impact of the Sand Creek Massacre, hosted by Dr. Aldora "Dodie" White Eagle. Learn directly alongside Cheyenne and Arapaho youth as we explore the rich culture, history, and enduring resilience of their nations through shared conversation, historical reflection, and hands-on learning. As part of the experience, teen participants will construct a miniature scale-model tipi to take home as a symbol of remembrance, traditional architecture, and cultural strength. Ideal for ages 13-19. Indigenous Peoples' Heritage Month
