Engaging with blocks supports early childhood development by enhancing mathematical thinking (shapes, sorting), enhancing fine motor control, encouraging spatial reasoning, and developing emotional skills through creative expression. APL is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! This is the culmination of our Ready to Dance series but no previous experience required! The musicians in Bolero Blues will lead us as we put to practice those Latin moves learned during this series, and if this is your first time, let the music move you! This program is a celebration for families to enjoy the great variety of Latin Dance, music, and community. And since it's a celebration, there will be cake! When Mrs. Z announces that Curiosity Academy needs to raise money for a school garden, Rohan sees the chance to launch his dreams right away! He'll start a pet care company to help the people of Peppermint Falls look after their dogs, hamsters, fish, snakes, lizards...anything but cats. With hard work, some glittery posters, and the help of his friends from Mrs. Z's class, Rohan knows he can do a lot for the school garden. His parents point out just one small problem: Rohan has never taken care of an animal before. They think he doesn't even like touching animals. (There is a reason cats aren't on his list.)
